About St. Thomas Roasters

St. Thomas Roasters is a cafe in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 5951 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17112, which places it among the local businesses of Harrisburg that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 7 am–6 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach St. Thomas Roasters at (717) 526-4171; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is stthomasroasters.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 737 reviews, which is a strong result for a cafe in Harrisburg and suggests consistent service.

Harrisburg is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Harrisburg is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

St. Thomas Coffee Roasters is such a cute little spot! The second you walk in, it smells absolutely divine. ☕️ The staff was very friendly, everything was clean, and the space has a unique, cozy feel with different photography displayed throughout that gives it a lot of character. They have SO many coffee flavors and fun drinks to choose from. I tried the apple caramel coffee because it sounded different and I had to give it a try! I probably wouldn’t order that one again just because I wasn’t a huge fan of the apple flavor, but that’s definitely personal preference. We also got an iced cold brew, which was really good and exactly the pick-me-up we needed. We didn’t try any of the pastries or food this time, but everything looked delicious and had that homemade feel. I also love that they roast their own coffee beans! We didn’t bring any home this time, but next time we’re in the area, I’d definitely stop back in and grab some. My only little pet peeve is that the cups aren’t branded, so not quite as cute for the coffee picture. 😂 But overall, such a fun little coffee shop with tons of options, and definitely somewhere I’d stop again!

On a recent cross-country trip, we stopped at Mellow Minded Café in Harrisburg and wanted a better coffee and tea selection. They highly recommended St. Thomas Roasters, just a couple doors down, and even welcomed us to bring our drinks back—so we gave it a try. We were glad we did. My daughter ordered an iced vanilla tea latte and said it was very delicious and reasonably priced at $4.69. My son ordered a Mounds Mocha iced latte with oat milk and said it was very tasty and something he would order again in a heartbeat. His drink was $6.70, which also seemed fair for the quality. Overall, St. Thomas Roasters was a very good local stop for coffee and tea. If you’re in the Harrisburg/Linglestown area and looking for a solid go-to coffee shop, this is definitely worth visiting. A good four-star experience.

I love St. Thomas Roasters. As soon as you walk through the door, you’re hit with that rich, comforting coffee smell that instantly sets the tone. Right when you walk in, there’s a case full of baked goods, including some gluten-free options, which I always appreciate. Everything I’ve tried from the bakery has been delicious. On this visit, I ordered a lavender Italian soda and a lavender vanilla latte—both were so good, with just the right balance of flavor. The staff is friendly and helpful, and everything came out quickly. There’s some street parking available, plus a parking lot on the side, which makes it easy to stop in. The space itself leans more on the older side rather than modern, but it adds to the charm and gives off a cozy, historic feel that fits the area perfectly. They also have a bathroom available, which is always a plus. Overall, it’s a great little coffee shop tucked away in Linglestown and definitely worth checking out if you haven’t been yet.

There’s something special about the area this coffee shop is in—it has a great local feel whether it’s a sunny afternoon or a chilly morning. Inside, the atmosphere is incredibly cozy and relaxed. The coffee itself is excellent and made with care.

I got a chai and a blueberry muffin. The vibe inside the café is very nice, it’s eclectic and cozy. In the seating area, all the chairs are mismatched which only adds to the atmosphere. The drink was very good and the blueberry muffin was spectacular, very fluffy with a nice crumb topping. The police stop in for coffee, so you’ll know you’re protected while you enjoy your beverage! They roast the coffee right there next to the counter so you know it’s fresh. I don’t know if they have a bathroom, but I have a feeling there aren’t any gorillas in it if that’s something you’re worried about.
